From my own experiences there, it seems most people from /mlp/ seem to think kiddy diddling should be ok so long as it’s drawn 2d. Most of it is just badly veiled attempts at defending their waifu.
Look at any cozy glow argument, the first thing they say is “bUt sTaRlIgHt GoT aWaY wItH iT!”
because they have no arguments and because all they can do is deflect blame onto others. If you replaced Cozy Glow with Twist none of them would even care.

Truth be told I think she’s a mary sue and it’s rich that she gets off the hook when better written characters like Nyx from Past Sins are considered a mary sue despite lacking the mary sue traits that Starlight excels in.
