You can add it without converting all the frames of the original gif, just convert the eye blinking cycle and run it every X flapping cycles.

glad to hear about your success. The LCD I have was also unreliable when I got it, the s between the LCD and the PCB is done with some springs, you have to spread them a bit to get a better .
