You assume it’s some big meta-game, but it’s just that people don’t like the image.  
It’s not that complicated.  
You can’t expect people to pretend to like the image because they are afraid some losers who don’t even care about the fandom will use it to push their politics, that completely defeats the purpose of a rating system.

I think it’s more likely the people who are disliking this are anti-riot than anti-black.
