Actually, when king sombra is exploded, there are cracks all over his body. It suggests that perhaps he’s made of crystals, which further s my theory.

A baseball bat. All he wanted to do was play baseball with daddy, before he got a divorce. Such sorrow made him discover dark magic, and he was consumed by it.

Well, I wouldn’t say he’s dead. Recall then when his horn was chopped off, it turned into a dark crystal. Looking at how he exploded, it seems likely he’s made of dark drystal. My theory is that as long as the dark crystal came from his horn, it carries his soul with it.
